Tamara Campbell
Vice Director for Administration
Tamara Campbell is a Contract Planning Services Manager at Civic Solutions Inc., with over 30 years of planning experience. She has had the pleasure of working for several Orange County cities, including; Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa and Irvine. Her profession has also taken her to several cities out of the area including; Park City, Utah, Monterey, and La Quinta. Ms. Campbell has extensive experience managing day to day operations of planning departments as well as processing large-scale residential, commercial and industrial projects. In addition, she has managed multiple long-range planning documents such as General Plans, Specific Plans and Municipal Code Ordinances.
Particular areas of professional strength include; affordable housing, historic preservation and the acquisition and implementation of millions of dollars of CDBG and HCD grant funds. With her extensive background and understanding of the complexities and nuances found in local government, Tamara approaches each project and program with keen insight into potential issues and is armed with a vast array of problem-solving solutions. On a final note, Tamara holds a master’s degree from California State University Fullerton, emphasizing urban planning and a B.A. in Geography from the University of California, Riverside.
Fun Fact.
I’m an avid trekker to remote places (really remote). I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy 5 trekking expeditions to ancient Himalayan kingdoms where I now oversee an educational scholarship program for 38 destitute Nepalese children. Always looking for trekking pals. Let me know if you want to go.
