Chris Chung is the Senior Planner with the City of Garden Grove's Planning Division in the Community Development Department.  He started his tenure with the City nearly 17 years ago as a volunteer Planning Division intern.  Chris has spent his career working in urban areas on housing, non-residential, and mixed use infill development and redevelopment.  Chris has experience in development and land use entitlement processing, ordinance writing, and was project lead for the City's 6th Cycle Housing Element Update.  He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Cal Poly Pomona, and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Cal State Long Beach. To maintain his work-life balance, you'll often find Chris outside with his family exploring cities, parks, and Disneyland. Chris also has a miniature husky, named Mischa, who's breed is known as Alaskan Klee Kai. "Klee Kai" comes from the Athabaskan words meaning “little dog”.
