The 2022 OC-APA Awards Night was held on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at the Lake Forest Community Center.

Over 100 guests gathered for this annual event which was held in-person for the first time since 2019. Guest were able to safely gather and network in the beautiful outdoor courtyard at the Lake Forest Community Center. Dinner and drinks were catered by a local vendor, Taste Catering. The evening was a celebration of planning excellence over the past three years. After a competitive selection process, the Orange Section presented five (5) Awards of Excellence and four (4) Awards of Merit to recipients of 2022 awards. One Distinguished Service Leadership Award was presented to Gayle Ackerman, AICP, the long-time Community Development Director at the City of Lake Forest. In addition, recognition was given to past award winners from 2021 and 2020. Planning agencies, firms, and individuals enjoyed coming together to celebrate those planning accomplishments from recent years. Finally, plaques were presented to the Orange Section's newest AICP members who passed the AICP exam between November 2019 and May 2022.
