Planning Commissioner Liaison
Adrienne Joy Gladson is a third generation Californian. She grew up and attended great local public schools. After graduating from California State University, Fullerton, she began a career in public service that would last over three decades. From the Main library in Orange to the Orange Planning Department, Adrienne grew intimately familiar with Orange’s rich history and the rules and processes of local government.
Adrienne is deeply involved in the community of Orange, both as a volunteer and as a member and leader on numerous local boards and organizations. Adrienne was appointed by the City Council to the Orange Design Review Committee in 2007 and the Orange Planning Commission 2011 to 2017. She was selected by her Commission colleagues as Chair, serving from April 2015 to March 2017.
Adrienne’s vast experience in city government has taken her beyond Orange - she has worked in city planning in Placentia, Garden Grove, and Brea. She retired from government service in 2015 and today she owns her own small business that specializes in mentoring and training planning commission members and staff. She also serves in the Southern California development arena on entitlement projects, providing land use advice and insights to private developers.
